Back on the market in a big way! Hilary Duff is enjoying the single life and making no mistake about it in her new “Sparks” music video.
The 27-year-old star, who ended her marriage in January 2014, debuted her latest video on Thursday, May 14. The clip details Duff’s recent adventure with Tinder and shows footage of dates she went on with men from the dating app, explaining why she had camera crews with her on the outings.
“Sparks” opens with a shot of Duff giving a radio interview, in which she confirms that she’s on Tinder and is doing “what everyone [does] on Tinder.” The video then pans to the mother of one breaking it down to the single in various figure-hugging getups.
Singing as she evaluates profiles and sets up dates, Duff croons, “You can promise castles, treasures, babies / I don’t care / ‘Cause for now you’re just enough for me / I want you near / Like a fairy tale to feel your breath right on my neck / You remember what I love so baby take me back / Turn down the lights down low and kiss me in the dark / ‘Cause when you’re touching me, baby I see sparks / You make my heart go.”
Duff is then shown on a bowling date with a Tinder man, which she first discussed last month. The Lizzie McGuire alum spoke to Ryan Seacrest after the date, telling the radio host that her suitor “was cool,” adding, “He brought a friend and I had some friends there. He used to be in editing for reality shows. Now, he’s an actor and he just wrote a play. He’s an interesting guy.”

While the “Come Clean” singer may not have found true love in her first date, she is optimistic about her prospects. “I never, ever thought I would do something like this,” she says in the video. “When I just surrendered to the experience, I had a great time.”
As she goes on app-enabled date adventures, Duff is also reigniting her music career. The former child star finally announced details on her fifth studio album on Thursday, after months of delays and abandoned plans.
Duff will release Breathe In. Breathe Out. on June 16 with collaborations from Ed Sheeran and Tove Lo. The project is the singer’s first studio album in eight years, as her last record, Dignity, hit stores in 2007. Take a look at Duff’s steamy new “Sparks” visuals in the video above!
